This has been a good year for nightingales

The oaks are part of the historical boundary of Rushmere St Andrew

but I was still surprised to hear one so close to the town, in an area very disturbed by dog-walkers.

Whitchurch Town Mill

 

Water passing through the sluice to the Town Mill. The mill is no longer working and has been turned into a house, but the water still passes through the sluices. Blackbird chick sound heard at about 20s.
